We are known for our attributes like loyalty and faithfulness and this is what makes us everybody’s first choice for pet. We should be treated with great care and affection just like any other individual in a family.

Unlike other pets, we can perform an additional function by taking up the job of a watchman. If trained properly we can even carry out tasks like helping our masters to cross the road, getting the newspaper or even protecting our master from any imminent danger.

We love to run, jump, wrestle, romp and play. We are by nature are pack animals and thrive in an atmosphere that allows us to socialize with other friendly canines.

Being left at home alone, day after day, makes us feel anxious. Most of us need lots of exercise, and may not get it if left alone. Just as exercise is vital to a long healthy human life, it is necessary for our canine friends as well.

What Society or You can do for me :

  • Take sensible precautions to keep dog safe from injuries.
  • If you notice changes in dog’s behaviour try contacting a vet and provide voluntary help as a responsbile citizen.
  • Going in and out from your home to office or market etc., check your street dog regularly and watch out for signs of injury, disease or illness. Make sure someone else does this in your locality.
  • Regular vaccination and treatments to control parasites (e.g. fleas and worms).
  • Ideally dog is required to wear a collar and identity.
  • Before your dog breeds or you allow it to breed, consult vet.
